World Class Wild Rainbow Trout Fishing
Chaunigan Lake Lodge started as a fishing lodge in 1935 and history has proven that our greatest asset, after scenery, is our wild rainbow trout fishing. Our careful management and remote location has preserved our world-class rainbow trout, lake fishing. The average fish size is 2 1/2 pounds. The lake has many weed beds and shoal areas, and cool water temperatures year round. The abundant freshwater shrimp population produces a clean firm rainbow trout.

There are many days when experienced fly fishermen will catch 50 fish a day. Our angling guide is available to take you out on the water, explain the entomology, or help you with casting and retrievals.

In addition to the main lake we have boats on several walk- in lakes and easy access to stream fishing.

Fly-out Fishing: For a change of pace try one of the 6 fly-in fishing lakes within a 70 mile radius of Chaunigan Lake. All these remote lakes are equipped with boats.

Charter available upon request.

Our lodge manager Nick and his staff are here to help you.

We encourage you to meet after a day’s activity at either our hot-tub or sauna, and then join staff and new friends in the lounge where we will be happy to serve you some refreshments. Some of our drinks are made especially for our guests and include Chaunigan Sunset by Rachel & Amber, Fisherman’s Flick by Scott and Candice, Moose Juice by Mike & Uwe, and Trail’s End by Shirley. Our bar services are offered until 10:30 p.m. nightly.
